Event Assistant

Chatham Maritime Food and Drink Festival

Roles available: Bar Staff
Bar experience is highly desirable and preferrable for this fast-paced job.
You will be working behind the bar to prepare drinks, serve guests, and other duties.

Camp Kerala - Glastonbury
10th - 23rd June | 1st - 7th July
Festivall Staff are proud to present opportunities at Glastonbury Festival 2024 with Camp Kerala!
We’re looking for staff to help build (and take down) Camp Kerala’s luxury glamping set-up on their site neighbouring Glastonbury Festival.

Roles available: Event Assistants
You will be helping build (and takedown) Camp Kerala’s luxury glamping setup.
The work will be very physically demanding so good physical health and manual handling experience and/or qualification* is essential.
Working Weeks: Build 10th - 23rd June | Takedown 1st - 7th July
You will be required to be fully available for the dates listed above.
You’ll work 6 days a week during the build and 5 days during the takedown. Working days are approx. 10 hours.
You will have Monday 24th June - Sunday 30th June off while Camp Kerala’s guests are on-site.
Please note, that you will not have access to Glastonbury Festival during this time.
You will have one day off per calendar week. These are predicted to be on Sunday 16th June and 23rd June (and Sunday 7th July for takedown)… However, these days may change depending on the weather conditions. A requirement of the role is flexibility when it comes to this, hence the need to be available throughout the full working weeks.
Location: nr. Glastonbury Festival site
You will be working on land neighbouring the festival.
There is extremely limited accommodation available to staff on-site. You will therefore be required to find your own accommodation off-site (if you are unable to commute).

Scan customers tickets for entry into the event.

Must have a pleasant demeanor, and festive spirit!
Trail Stewards:
In the case of any lost property, lost children, and/or vulnerable adults, staff will report these to the Duty Manager on call, and escort them to the designated meeting point.
Monitor visitors and report any public disorder to the Supervisor. Stewards must monitor and deter visitors from vandalism of any temporary or permanent structures, or inappropriate behaviour that falls out of the scope of the event, with a view to reporting to the Security contractor on site. The Supervisor must report any incident to the Event or Duty Manager on call.
In the case of public disorder, or any disruptive incident, Stewards must first attempt to diffuse any situation in a calm and collected manner and report the incident to the Security contractor onsite.
In the event of an accident or any other hold up on the trail, assist in crowd management
Please note: Due to the length of the show, you will be required to work a minimum of 15 shifts. Priority will be given to those who can work 20+ shifts throughout the run.
All staff will be required to work at least one of the following: Christmas Eve, Boxing Day, NYE or NY Day*
*You will be compensated for these show dates at 1.5X standard rate of pay (£20.17 per hr).
Due to our welfare policies, staff are unable to work more than 6 consecutive days and must be 18+.
