Frequently Asked Questions

How do I sign up?

To become a member of our team, you’ll need to sign up to our newsletter and download the Festivapp. You will then be the first to hear about any new events that we have work available at and will have access to our job board. On our job board you will be able to apply for any shifts that you like the look of. One of the Festivall office team will be in touch with an interview offer. If successful, your Festivall account will be approved and you will be booked onto the job. You will only have to interview for the first job that you apply for.

How many hours can I work?

Work is fully flexible, you can work as much or as little as you desire. Although, we require you to have at least one day off weekly and work no more than 60 hours per week (if you opt out of the Working Time Directive).

Is travel/accommodation included?

Our staff are responsible for making their way to and from the event, travel and accommodation expenses are not covered by Festivall. Staff camping is available for free at selected festivals. Please note that camping equipment is not provided and you must bring your own with you.

How much will I get paid?

We are proud to be an accredited Living Wage Employer. All staff are now paid from £12ph, exceeding the new Living Wage.

Tax may be deducted from your payslip. If you have any issues or questions regarding tax, please contact HMRC.

When do I get paid?

We pay on a fortnightly basis. Once you are booked onto an event, you will receive further information with exact pay dates.

Do Festivall Staff have a pension scheme?

Anyone that meets the following criteria will automatically be enrolled on to our pension scheme (provided by The People’s Pension): you earn over £192 per week (£833 per month), you are aged 22 or over and you are under state pension age.

If you do not meet the requirements but would like to join the companies pension scheme or do meet the requirements and would like to opt-out, please contact payroll@festivall.services.

How do I cancel my shift?

If you are unable to attend your agreed shift you must call Festivall Office - 01144 055 044 - to speak with our team.

I am under 18 years old, can I still work?

Though we do value the positive work ethic, unfortunately we do require staff to be 18+ in most instances. This is due to the nature of work at Festivals & Events having occasional lone working. With staff welfare being vital to our company, we want to ensure all staff are suitably looked after.

This is occasionally possible over our festive shows where you can work closely with a Family Member or Elected Guardian. This is indicative to each show.

What jobs are available?

Once your Festivall Staff account has been activated, you will be able to access the Job Board, where you will be able to see what event work we are hiring for at that time.

Before your account gets accepted, you will need to conduct an interview via Google Meet, which will be set up on an event to event basis. This will be conducted by a member of our Office Team.

Pending right to work checks and your interview being successful, your profile can be authorised and you can start applying for work!

Can I work with a friend?

We encourage staff referrals. Friends are always welcome and you are able to work closely with your pals as long as there are positions available.
