Roles Available: Event Assistant and Barista

Event Assistant

• Greet and check in guests at entry points and assist with event admission

• Guide families through the experience, providing directions and friendly support

• Help facilitate creative workshops, queues, and interactive spaces

• Stay alert to visitor flow and safety, reporting any issues to your Team (Cheer)Leader

• Some Event Assistant roles are sales & service-based (retail/F&B), bringing festive cheer to our retail and refreshment areas!

• Serve grab-and-go drinks and snacks, or assist in our pop-up sweet, photo, and gift shops

• Take simple orders, process payments, and maintain tidy service points

• Keep the atmosphere upbeat and welcoming while ensuring great customer service

Barista

Serve up comfort and joy (in a cup)!

• Prepare and serve hot drinks using a pre-programmed machine (no bar machine experience needed)

• Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient serving area

• Prior experience in barista or café-style service is desirable for this role (Level 2 F&B Safety Certificate)

Please note that all roles will be working outside and standing for most, if not all, of the shift.

There are certain requirements we will need all staff to follow: 

• Are available for at least 8 of the 16 event dates across the run, with the availability for longer working days than those advertised if necessary

• Can be flexible between roles as required, and work hours (variable shift to shift)

• Are aged 18 or over (due to lone/independent working at times)

• Have a valid DBS certificate or be willing to obtain one (character references can be sought in lieu of this)

• Are reliable, proactive, and confident in communicating with the public

• Can help boost Cheer Levels - every guest interaction contributes to the festive quest!
  (Think: genuine warmth, energy, and positivity, no matter the weather.)

  Hourly Pay: from £14.14*ph (*broken down as £12.62 base + £1.52 holiday for PAYE)

Travel: Festivall do not provide transportation. Staff are responsible for making their own way to and from events.
Please note: staff car parking will be available. You will be finishing your shift late into the evenings, and public transport may not be running at these times. No accommodation is provided.
